Over dinner last night, Thomas and I discussed Christmas plans. His family is in the habit of going on holiday for Christmas, spending the holidays somewhere warm and tropical.
I haven't felt much like celebrating Christmas (or anything, for that matter) for the past few years, but back in the day I'd host a huge dinner with all the trimmings, big tree, lots of presents, ham and turkey and all that lovely holiday food...
Oh dear, I tend to go on, don't I? Anyway, the long and short of it is I think I've convinced Thomas to stay in the country and try my version of the festivities this year. But it is a bit of a waste to do all that cooking for just three people... Who's interested in Christmas dinner?

Ms. Frampton,
In your Sunday article about my grandson's illness, you incorrectly quoted my surname as "Tonks". That is incorrect, my name (as listed on all official documents) is Andromeda Black-Tonks. I would be much obliged if you would issue a correction.
Sincerely,
Andromeda Black-Tonks

Teddy's got jam in his hair. Or at least he had jam in his hair, and when I came back with a cloth to scrub it out, his hair had turned a uniform shade of blackberry jam. Of course, it will show up when he wakes up stuck to the pillow in the morning, but for now he's fled from his washcloth wielding grandmother and is "hiding" in the garden. Little kneazle doesn't realize his sock's sticking out from behind the azalea.
He'll show up again when the cookies are done, or when it starts to get dark. He's a good boy, knows to come inside for supper, but we still have the bath arguement almost nightly.
